Shangri-La continues to top my list for high tea, offering an unmatched variety of food, catering to dietary requirements, barista coffee, an array of teas, elegant crockery, and, of course, the stunning views and cocktails.

Upon arriving at Altitude Bar, the excitement was palpable. Although we didn’t book a window table, our middle-table seating still offered a fantastic view. At Altitude, every seat boasts a beautiful perspective of the outside world.

The service was impeccable and swift. The crockery, featuring Maxwell & Williams, Vittorio, and Narumi, added a touch of elegance to the experience.

The Culinary Experience
The savoury pastries were a delight, especially the cashew mousse, which melted in the mouth, and the tortilla that burst with a thousand flavours. Despite the wide range of teas, we opted for peppermint tea, which did not disappoint—it was soft and silky. We chose the sparkling wine package, complemented by a barista coffee each. For tea enthusiasts, the teas were unlimited.

The pastries tasted like a tropical holiday. The white peach choux reminded us of a delightful granola with fruit and cream—everything was light yet flavourful. From your table, you could also order cocktails from Blu Bar.

Cocktails
Michelle ordered a mocktail, while I enjoyed a cocktail with a coconut and rum base. The barman, despite being on his own, managed to serve both Altitude and Blu Bar clients efficiently.

A Minor Hiccup
The only downside, a personal preference, was the butterflies on the wall which had eyes and looked a bit creepy. Additionally, my credit card kept declining without prompting for a PIN, causing some frustration. After several attempts, the waitress finally asked me to insert the card instead of tapping, resolving the issue.
Overall Rating: 9/10
Shangri-La’s Altitude high tea remains our top choice, thanks to its incredible views, delicious food, and the option to enjoy cocktails at Blu Bar afterward.
