Last month, we had the pleasure of experiencing the highly anticipated bottomless sandwiches and sparkling High Tea at Park Royal Parramatta. The buzz around this indulgent event had been hard to ignore, so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. And we can confidently say—it was an exclusive High Tea experience indeed.
We arrived at Park Royal on a delightful Sunday afternoon, brimming with excitement. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by Ernesto, whom we affectionately referred to as our Maître D’hôtel. He guided us to the elevator, which whisked us up to the 6th floor, where the High Tea is exclusively served. As the elevator doors opened, we entered a private and sophisticated lounge, where we were the only guests. The space was impeccably designed, featuring comfortable seating and a colourful, inviting table setting that immediately set the tone for a luxurious experience.

Our Maître D ’Hôtel’s attention to detail and professionalism was evident from the outset. Within moments of sitting down, we were served sparkling wine, followed by our tea and coffee orders. The service was flawless, with Ernesto reappearing just as our glasses neared empty, ensuring they were promptly replenished.
The High Tea itself exceeded all expectations. While the bottomless sandwiches were a highlight, they were far from ordinary. In addition to a variety of delicious sandwiches, we were treated to savoury croissants, mini burgers, and a beautifully presented chicken coronation sandwich in the form of a pinwheel. The savoury offerings were diverse and satisfying, creating a perfect balance to the sweetness of the treats to follow.

Speaking of sweet offerings, the petits fours were exquisitely crafted—delicate in design and not overly sweet, providing the ideal end to the savory delights. The scones were another standout feature—square-shaped and generously served with jam and cream. Both the fruit and plain scones were equally delightful.

Upon our departure, Ernesto, ever attentive, personally escorted us to the elevator and accompanied us to the ground floor. He ensured our comfort by seating us near the cocktail bar, where we were promptly offered refreshing glasses of water while we awaited our transportation. This level of care and attention extended seamlessly to the bar staff, who provided exceptional service throughout.
This High Tea ranks among the best we’ve experienced, not only due to the outstanding service but also the elegant presentation. Ernesto’s seamless service and the overall aesthetic of the event elevated the entire experience. For these reasons, we rate this High Tea an impressive 10/10, securing its spot as a close contender for second place on our list of favourites.
