Eternity Café: A Waterfall High Tea Experience in the Heart of the City

High tea with a view? Yes, please! We recently visited Eternity Café after it kept popping up on our social media feed—and let’s just say, it absolutely lived up to the hype.

A Hidden Gem in the City

Tucked away right at Town Hall, Eternity Café offers a tranquil escape right in the middle of Sydney’s bustling CBD. Whether you enter via Kent Street, descending behind Town Hall, or take the route through the QVB corridor past Town Hall Station, you’ll be greeted by the calming sound of a cascading waterfall—your first clue that you’re in for a truly unique experience.

Picture-Perfect and Instagram-Worthy

This charming little café is not just about the food—it’s a visual treat too. With its quaint setup and lush surroundings, it’s the perfect backdrop for a relaxed catch-up with friends or a peaceful solo tea session.

We were lucky enough to score a table right in front of the indoor waterfall, which added a serene touch to the entire afternoon.

Smooth Booking Tips

A small word of advice: book in advance, and preferably reach out via email. We initially tried calling but found their phones weren’t working. Thankfully, they responded to our email, and we secured our spot.

Impeccable Service and Seasonal Sips

From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and efficient. We were quickly served a refreshing mocktail—a delightful blend of orange and ginger that hit the spot, especially on a cool winter afternoon.

High Tea That Hits the Spot

Now, let’s talk food. Eternity Café offers a generous three-tiered high tea, and every layer is a delicious experience:

Tier 1: Savoury Bites

An assortment of sandwiches and sliders, with the sliders especially standing out—soft, flavourful, and absolutely moreish.

Tier 2: Sweet Classics with a Twist

This tier featured Victoria sponge cake, mini pancakes with cream, and a mini almond croissant alongside a plain one. Instead of the traditional scones, the croissants were a creative and welcome change, pairing beautifully with our tea.

Tier 3: Light and Fruity Finish

To finish, we enjoyed a mango and chia pudding, accompanied by fresh fruit—a refreshing and health-conscious way to end the experience.

Pro Tip: Visit at Lunchtime

We recommend booking your high tea for around lunchtime. The portions are generous, and it’s best enjoyed when you’re ready for a full, leisurely meal.

A Tranquil Retreat Worth Visiting

Whether you’re treating yourself or catching up with friends, Eternity Café offers something special. The soothing sound of the waterfall, the thoughtfully presented food, and the serene atmosphere make it a standout destination for high tea in Sydney.

Looking for a calm, classy experience right in the city? Eternity Café is your go-to.

High Tea is $56 pp.

Walk-ins welcome but they will need 30 min prep for the High Tea.

Booking can be done via phone but their phones are unreliable so email them instead.
