We recently enjoyed one of the most elegant and delightful high tea experiences we have had in quite some time. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we had stepped into a scene from Bridgerton — refined, graceful, and beautifully curated in every detail.
Introducing Manon Tearoom, a stunning new addition to Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre, officially opened on 30 April 2026 in the newly redeveloped precinct of Chatswood Chase.
A New Luxury Destination by the Grand Pacific Group
Manon is the latest venue from the renowned Grand Pacific Group, joining an impressive portfolio that includes Gunners’ Barracks, The Tea Room QVB, and The Palace Tearoom. With such an established reputation behind it, expectations were naturally high — and Manon exceeded them effortlessly.
The Venue
At first glance, you would hardly realise you are inside a shopping centre. Located on Level 1 at the Archer Street end of Chatswood Chase, Manon enjoys a quiet and secluded position away from the main retail traffic. With no surrounding stores nearby, the venue creates the charming illusion of being a standalone café tucked away from the crowds.
The interiors are elegant and timeless, featuring soft, sophisticated tones reminiscent of The Palace Tearoom. The atmosphere is warm yet refined, making it the perfect setting for high tea, afternoon tea, breakfast, or a leisurely catch-up with friends.
From the décor to the ambience, every aspect of the venue feels thoughtfully designed to create a luxurious and relaxing experience.

The High Tea Experience
Our sparkling wine arrived promptly upon seating — light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced on the palate. Alongside it came a selection of savoury bites, including:
- A delicate mushroom tart
- Avocado and Tomato bruschetta
- A spinach pastry

Each item was individually plated and elegantly presented.
Shortly after, the traditional three-tier stand arrived, filled with an impressive assortment of savouries and petits fours. One thoughtful detail that stood out was that the petits fours were served on four individual plates, elevating both the presentation and dining experience.
We especially appreciated the generous savoury selection, with two servings included. The freshly made finger sandwiches featured classic combinations such as:

- Chicken
- Ham with mustard mayonnaise
- Egg sandwiches
Prepared fresh daily, they were light, flavourful, and perfectly suited to high tea.
The Desserts

The dessert selection was beautifully executed, both visually and in flavour.
Highlights included:
Chocolate Sablé

Elegantly decorated with the Manon logo by the pastry chef, this dessert was made using premium Li Chu Belgian chocolate. The in-house crafted décor and caramelised cocoa nib garnish added sophistication and texture.
Mandarin Compote Choux Pastry

Delicate and balanced, this pastry offered subtle citrus notes without being overly sweet, leaving a light and refreshing finish.
Raspberry Pistachio Cake

Velvety smooth with a soft peach hue, this cake was refined, delicate, and wonderfully satisfying.
The Scones

And then, the scones — truly unforgettable.

Large, soft, and freshly baked, they were served warm alongside cream and jam. Light yet indulgent, they were easily one of the highlights of the afternoon.
Service and Hospitality
The service at Manon was exceptional throughout our visit. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and highly accommodating. We also had the pleasure of meeting the chef behind the menu, who kindly took the time to explain each savoury and dessert selection in detail.
That personal touch elevated the entire experience and reflected the passion and care behind the venue.
Final Thoughts

Manon offers a beautifully presented high tea experience that is elegant without being overwhelming. The desserts are light and delicately balanced, the savouries are fresh and satisfying, and the overall experience feels luxurious yet comfortable.
Paired with a selection of herbal teas, this is a high tea designed to be enjoyed slowly and savoured.
For those seeking a refined new destination on Sydney’s North Shore, Manon Tearoom is absolutely worth visiting.
